Terms of service
Last updated: 2026-10-10
1. Who we are
IBS AI is a product of Mudacorp ("Mudacorp", "we"), reachable at hello@mudacorp.com. These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use IBS AI — the app, on a phone or in a browser, and this website.
2. IBS AI is not medical advice
IBS AI is a self-help tool: a diary of meals, symptoms and, where you choose to log it, medication; a general program with phases and daily steps; general tips; and insights that point out which foods were followed by trouble in your own diary. It gives general information and education. It is not a medical device and it does not give medical, nutritional or dietetic advice, a diagnosis or a treatment. We are not your doctor, your dietitian or your prescriber, and using IBS AI does not create any such relationship.
Insights are statistics about your own entries — a food was followed by symptoms in so many of so many meals — described as "possible" or "likely". They are not a finding about your body. Food ratings, portions and tips are a general guide written from widely published guidance; tolerance differs from person to person, research is revised, and a rating or a tip may be wrong or out of date. IBS AI is not affiliated with Monash University or with any medicine manufacturer, and does not reproduce their data. Where IBS AI shows a dose of a medicine, it is the dose you entered; IBS AI never recommends a dose or a change of dose.
Restrictive diets are meant to be followed for a limited time, ideally with a qualified dietitian, and IBS AI puts an end date on them. Talk to a doctor before starting one — in particular if your symptoms are new or have not been diagnosed, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you are underweight, if you have or have had an eating disorder, if you have diabetes, coeliac disease or another medical condition, or if the diet is for a child.
See a doctor promptly, whatever IBS AI shows, if you have blood in your stool, unexplained weight loss, fever, persistent vomiting, signs of dehydration, difficulty swallowing, symptoms that wake you at night, pain under the right ribs, or pain that is severe or getting worse. IBS AI asks about these and answers only "see a doctor" — it is a prompt, not a triage. In an emergency, call your local emergency number. Never ignore professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you read or logged in IBS AI.
You decide what you eat and how you take your medication. You use IBS AI, and act on what it shows, at your own risk.
3. Your account
You must be 18 or older. An account is for one person. You sign in with a code sent to your email address; keep that mailbox secure, because you are responsible for what is done through your account.
4. Free use, and paid plans
IBS AI is free to start. We may offer a paid plan with additional features; its price and what it includes are shown before you pay anything, and it renews automatically each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Settings; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for and are not charged again. Payments on the web are processed by Stripe; payments inside a phone app are processed by the app store you installed it from, under its terms.
If you are a consumer in the European Union you have 14 days to withdraw from a contract concluded online. If you are charged and tell us within 14 days of that first charge that you do not want the plan, we refund the charge in full. Write to hello@mudacorp.com. If we change a price, we tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.
5. What you write is yours
Your entries belong to you. You give us permission to store them, display them to you, and compute insights from them so the service can work — nothing more. How we handle them, including what the AI analysis receives, is described in the Privacy policy. You can download or delete them at any time.
6. Using IBS AI fairly
Do not try to access other people's data, disrupt the service, send the AI analysis anything other than your own meals, copy the content in bulk to republish it, or use IBS AI for anything unlawful. We may suspend an account that does.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep IBS AI available and correct, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may improve, change or remove features. If we remove something that materially reduces what you pay for, we tell you in advance and you may cancel and be refunded for the unused part of the period you paid for.
8. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that: IBS AI is provided as it is, as a general information and tracking tool. We are not liable for decisions you make about your diet, your medication or your health, for symptoms or health outcomes that follow from them, or for losses arising from a rating, a tip or an insight being inaccurate, since the service is not a substitute for professional advice. We are not liable for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen, or caused by events outside our control.
Where our liability can be limited, it is limited in total to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
9. Ending
You can stop using IBS AI and cancel at any time. We may end or suspend your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if a payment fails and is not resolved; if we end it for any other reason, we refund the unused part of any period you paid for. You can download your data before leaving, and ask us to delete your account.
10. Law and complaints
These terms are governed by the law of Portugal. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts there.
If something is wrong, write to hello@mudacorp.com first — we will try to fix it. Consumers in Portugal may also use the electronic complaints book (livroreclamacoes.pt) and a consumer arbitration centre; the list is at consumidor.gov.pt.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For a change that matters, we tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect; if you do not agree, you can cancel before then. The date at the top shows the current version.
